We have tried to make the Woodbury Cabin your home away from home.  So what do you need to bring?  Lets start with what you’ll find at the Woodbury Cabin.

Bedding:  There are four queen beds, a twin bed and a full size futon.  There are sheets, comforters and pillows.  There are extra sheets and blankets in the master bedroom if needed.  There is also a sound machine (sounds like a fan, but without the air movement) in the master bedroom and in the loft to help drown out undesirable noises and get a good nights sleep.  There are flashlights in the bedroom nightstands.

You might need:  Your own pillow

Bathroom:  There is a Jacuzzi tub for two in the master bedroom and a bath/shower in the main-level and basement-level bathrooms.  There are plenty of towels and washclothes.  We also stock toilet paper, hand soap, trash bags and tissues as well.  There is a hair dryer under the sink of the main-level bathroom as well as a first-aid kit.

You might need:  Shampoo, body soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, and other personal hygeine items

Kitchen:  The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, smooth surface electric range, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, coffeepot, pots/pans, dishes, silverware, spatulas, bowls, glasses, cups, measuring cups/spoons, cookie sheets, mixing bowls, electric hand mixer, electric skillet, and electric crockpot.  We also stock dishsoap, dishwasher detergent, and paper towels.

You might need:  food/drinks (coffee), seasonings, sugar, flour, creamer, cooking oil, paper plates, paper napkins, laundry detergent (washer/dryer in basement), and ingredients for smores!

Entertainment:  The cabin has a 20” tv with dvd player in the master bedroom and a 50” tv with dvd player and playstation 2 in the basement.  We have Direct TV with Stars movie package and music channels.  There is a large DVD collection as well as a large PS2 game selection.  In the main floor closet there is a wide selection of board games (monopoly, scrabble, candyland, etc).

Outdoors:  There is lots to do on the 42 acres.  There are trails throughout the property, a fishing pond, a canoe and oars, pedal boat, life vests, fire pits, park grills (charcoal), lots of wildlife, and berries in July.

You might need:  hiking boots, a fishing pole, custom size life-vest (especially children), firewood (or a chainsaw to cut up dead timber laying around the cabin), matches/lighter, paper to light fire, insect repellent, binoculars, ATV/golf cart, bags/buckets for berry picking and long sleeves/pants for berry picking (those thorns will get you!).

There is a iron and ironing board in the basement.

A four-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended when ice or snow is or has been in the forecast.  Township Road 340 and the cabin’s driveway is gravel, and is hilly with curves.  95% of the time, a small two-wheel drive car will have no problems reaching the cabin, but in the winter, snow and ice may make the drive difficult.  If you have any questions or want to know current conditions, don’t hesitate to contact Shane at 740-398-7251.
